When I visited Monet's Gardens in Giverny I was outside looking into his studio and snapped several photographs. Upon reviewing them, once I returned home, I realized that a woman's face was very faintly visible through that garden window. I always love mystery in a painting as a means of drawing you in and the opportunity of playing with this was too good to pass up. I like that the viewer may not immediately see the figure but upon study it comes into focus and asks you to linger over it.
